Installation of Rev. Dr. John Michael (Mike) Ramey

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, our congregation joyfully celebrated the installation of Rev. Dr. John Michael (Mike) Ramey as our pastor. We are delighted to welcome Pastor Ramey and his wife, Laura, into our church family and look forward to the years of ministry ahead.

The installation service was officiated by Rev. Larry Krueger, Area B Vice-President for the Texas District. 

Rev. Mike Mattil, Emeritus, delivered the sermon, and Rev. Scott Sundbye, Circuit Visitor, served as Celebrant for the service. We were honored by the attendance of fellow pastors from across the circuit and area, along with several of their wives, who joined us for this special occasion.

Seventy-two people attended the installation ceremony. Following the service, members and guests gathered for a celebratory meal and fellowship, giving thanks for God's continued blessings upon our congregation.

As part of the installation liturgy, the congregation prays:

"We give thanks to God that You continue to provide shepherds to feed and serve Your flock in which the Holy Spirit has made them overseers. We humbly implore You ever to strengthen the labors of Your ministers, that through their ministry of Word and Sacrament Your people may increase in Your knowledge and service and grow up into Him who is the head, even Jesus Christ, to whom, with You and the Holy Spirit, be all glory now and forever."

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Rev. Gordon Besel and Rev. Dr. Robert C. Preece for faithfully caring for our congregation during the pastoral vacancy. Their leadership, guidance, and support have been a tremendous blessing during this transition.

We thank God for His provision and pray that He richly bless Pastor Mike and Laura as they begin this new chapter of ministry among us.
